Why Our Distributors Love Play Mart
We recently contacted our playground equipment distributors to learn why they love incorporating Play Mart products in their projects. Our friends at Pacific Playgrounds responded quickly (giving us a Google review!) to let us know how our products allow them to design amazing playgrounds for California children of all ages. Our team interviewed the folks at Pacific Playgrounds to find out a little more.
What they love about Play Mart’s wide selection of quality commercial playground equipment:
Older children love Play Mart’s more challenging playground equipment that stimulates the mind and body. The Nature of Early Play line of products is second to none when it comes to play structures for little ones, infant to preschool.
Variety of Playground Equipment
Doug Gourley, Pacific Playground’s owner and contractor, finds that customers appreciate the variety of options available for play: the colors and types of activities that can be enjoyed on the playground. Play Mart products cater to the whole child, offering play equipment that fosters group play and the building of social skills and an extensive selection of playground equipment for all abilities. Customers also love our line of themed playgrounds, like the Eiffel Tower for a French flair or the Tree Hugger for little California hippies!
Age-Appropriate Playground Designs
Between Nature of Early Play and Play Mart, customers love that they can get custom playground equipment for different age groups. The infant and toddler playsets are specifically designed for those age groups. Everything from benches to swings are available for all sizes and ability levels.
Aesthetically Designed Playgrounds
Doug turns to our products for the best-looking equipment in the playground industry. He says, “Other manufacturers just don’t have what Play Mart has. [At Play Mart] the play sets just look nicer.” Doug noticed that his customers really appreciate that they can order custom play equipment that matches their desired color scheme, knowing that our recycled plastic equipment will maintain its vibrant color in the elements.
Playsets Fit for Small Spaces
Play Mart has designed certain play sets specifically for small play areas in both our Play Mart and Nature of Early Play line of equipment. In narrow courtyards, for instance, you can fit a lot of fun in with long, narrow play sets. Play Mart’s creative designers are phenomenal at developing the perfect playground equipment for any environment.
Play Equipment Fit for Small Budgets
Doug’s customers find the pricing is also great, especially for smaller facilities or those with smaller budgets. Play Mart offers the best playground equipment at an affordable price. As a result, customers know their kids are getting the best playground equipment for their money.
One-stop-playground-shop
Play Mart can really be a one-stop-shop for all you need on the playground, too—all the bases are covered—the variety of offerings such as play sets, musical elements, seating, and site amenities can all come from one place. That makes the ordering and shipping process easy, so they can make the installation process smooth and stress-free for everyone.
Our Shared Love of the Earth
“We like to be as environmentally conscious as possible, ” Jake Nelson of Pacific Playground says. “When they have an old playground they’re replacing, we try to bring the old wooden structures and woodchips to be recycled. Play Mart fits well with that [goal]. When our customers want a more natural look with an environmentally friendly product, we certainly look to Play Mart to deliver. Recycled lumber is important both because it saves plastics from landfills and oceans, but also because it is long-lasting.”
Jake noticed that most customers want green playgrounds to be a top priority so they can teach their kids about the importance of caring for the earth.
Mr. Nelson goes on to say that when he shows customers the catalog of Nature of Early Play products, he often hears, “That’s exactly what we’re looking for!” And that’s exactly what he wants to hear!
Our Shared Commitment to Playground Safety
Because we care so deeply about your children, safety is central to all we do. “We expect the same from the commercial playground distributors and installation companies we partner with.” Noted Play Mart General Manager, Tabith Sani. “When we team up with Pacific Playground, we know that safety is at the forefront of every project. They care about fun, but also safety, and we couldn’t agree more!”
Play Equipment Safety Guarantee
All of Play Mart designs are guaranteed to meet federal safety standards laid out by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). That’s important to Pacific Playground because their customers trust them to deliver playsets with a high level of both quality and safety.
Safe and Fun Surfaces
Pacific Playground provides and installs safe surfacing for playgrounds, like poured-in-place and loose-fill rubber mulch that also meets CPSC guidelines to prevent injuries from falls.
Borders for Surfaces
When the project calls for it, Pacific Playground also provides and installs all types of play area borders like our RSP (recycled structural plastic) borders, rubber curbs and molded plastic timbers.
Some Featured Projects
The Pacific Playground team was eager to tell us about a couple of their recent projects. Pacific Playgrounds has a never-ending stream of exciting playground installation projects in the works. Here are a couple of recent commercial playground projects they’d like to show off:
Circle of Friends Child Development Center
One recent playground project was for a preschool and child care center in northern California. Circle of Friends CDC has been a long-time customer of Pacific Playground. They have been removing all of their older play structures and working to install playgrounds from Play Mart in matching color palettes.
With a variety of play yards for different age groups, they’ve installed this Gecko Preschool playset at their newest location in Fairfield, CA. Having removed the existing and unsafe play set and wood chips for recycling, the new play yard has the Gecko play set and Sandbox for the preschool and pre-k kids.
The play area is complete with a poured rubber trike path around the perimeter to encourage kids to get their daily dose of fresh air and exercise. Next, they’ll be installing the Swiss Chalet for infants and toddlers.
Health Right 360
Pacific Playgrounds has done multiple commercial playground installation projects for Health Right 360, which provides a diverse array of programs and services in the San Francisco area.
The Beach Boat fits perfectly in this narrow play yard and is just the right size for the number of children that play there daily. The beach theme and blue rubber surface definitely give this one a nautical feel.
Next, they paired the Tiger (Mini) playset from our Play Mart line for the 5-12-year-olds and the Tiger Swallowtail (Infant) for the infants and toddlers. With just one play area to share among kids of all ages, the size of these two sets fit nicely together. Health Right 360 ordered these sets in a matching bright Primary Color Palette, and the kids can all enjoy their time on the playground at the same time.
“We love the curved slide on the Tiger (Mini) because it is nice and compact and leave lots of space to run on the playground,” shared Pacific Playground’s Jake Nelson. “Our customers really love that we can customize the playground to fit their needs and the space available.
We wouldn’t be able to deliver our outstanding playground equipment with the same exceptional customer service we are committed to without the help of our fantastic distributors like Pacific Playground! Pacific Playground, a long-time playground equipment supplier located in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose, and Oakland, recently shared their experience working with the Play Mart team and why their customers love Play Mart and Nature of Early Play products.
The Pacific Playground Story
Started in 1998 by contractor Doug Gourley, Pacific Playground was founded on the principle of building affordable play centers that challenge children with unique and colorful playground structures. Their mission: to design and build affordable play areas for apartments, churches, schools, and HOAs (Home Owner Associations).
From its founding, its focus has been to offer customers “A Full-Service Playground Company” from the first step, the playground design, to the last installation touch. This commitment to service means they work closely with each customer every step of the way, from the initial playground planning to the professional installation and everything in between.
Doug Gourley from Pacific Playground won’t just sell you a play center out of a box. Instead, he is passionate about creating the best experiences for children, which starts with custom commercial playground designs made specifically for your organization. In addition, he aims to offer you personal attention to ensure you get the absolute most for your money.
What they’re great at
They provide free on-site analysis and consultation of the proposed playground area, including an efficient design addressing any potential safety issues. Next, their expert team will work with Play Mart designers to create high-tech CAD diagrams generating realistic mock-ups of possible playground designs. This way, their customers know exactly what to expect. Finally, Pacific Playground offers complete installation, including any related construction.
Thanks Pacific Playground for sharing your experience with us!
