Important Update from Our Team in Somerset, KY
Late Friday night into early Saturday morning (May 16–17), a powerful tornado struck Somerset, KY—home to our manufacturing facility and offices. Incredibly, our buildings were not damaged, despite the tornado touching down just 200–300 yards away and causing significant destruction to nearby homes and businesses. We are deeply grateful for this outcome.
Due to widespread power outages in the area, our manufacturing plant will remain closed through the end of the week (May 19–23). We will also be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. Some team members, including our quoting and design staff, will be working remotely and responding to emails as they are able. If you have questions or need to get in touch with our staff, you may email info@playmart.com, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you need immediate assistance, please feel free to contact:
-
Koe Bell (Production Manager): 606-307-855
-
Rebecca Beach (Owner): 606-305-1688
-

Most importantly, we are relieved to share that all of our employees and their families are safe, and the majority have homes that remain livable. Unfortunately, many others in Somerset and nearby London, KY, have suffered devastating losses. Our hearts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
We sincerely appreciate your thoughts and prayers for our community as we all work toward recovery. We’ll continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
